Happy New Year from all of us at Independence Plus, Inc. (IPI)! As we begin 2017 we are grateful for our patients and their families and we look forward to another year of providing people with complex medical and respiratory needs the opportunity to live fulfilling lives at home.
One aspect of IPI that makes us very proud is our commitment to hiring newly-graduated nurses. We are kicking off the year with the 16th Cohort of our Home Nursing Residency, a unique employment opportunity for RN’s and LPN’s with less than one year of experience.
If you fit the bill and are available to begin work on Monday, January 23rd, we welcome you to apply for our Residency. This program will prepare you to become a trained specialist in caring for our adult and pediatric ventilator-dependent patients at home, where they want to be.
Alongside other new nurses, you will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in Home Nursing, with an intensive classroom program followed by a pre-employment course, ventilator training, two weeks of educational site visits and up to 64 hours of training in the field with a nurse preceptor. Upon successful completion, Nurse Residents independently care for patients living at home, with 24-hour clinical support always engaged.

A $250 referral bonus is available for all field and administrative staff who recommend an RN or LPN for the Residency!
Here are the terms of the bonus:
1) After the referred nurse receives a successful 90-day evaluation, the referring employee will receive a $250 bonus.
2) The referring individual must be in good standing as an Independence Plus employee.
